As the World Series kicks off Tuesday, it's easy to imagine that most folks who have any rooting interest are pulling for the Royals. They are in the midst of a classic underdog-on-a-magic-carpet-ride story, having not made the postseason since 1985. Plus, even if the Giants aren't as inherently impossible to root for as, say, the Yankees, the fact that they have already won championship rings in 2010 and 2012 means that no one outside of San Francisco would think they're "due."
